C&S Spiritual Leader, Baba Aladura, Passes Away
Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, has passed away.
CSMC News reports that his death was confirmed by the church’s Secretariat, led by Secretary-General Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun. The Secretariat revealed that the Spiritual Father died on Sunday morning at approximately 10:00 am in his Ilorin home, located in the Kwara state capital, at the age of 103.
Detailing his passing, Apostle Odetundun shared that the late spiritual father had just finished his breakfast and was preparing for service when he expressed a desire to rest for a while. “He passed on peacefully thereafter,” Odetundun stated, adding that burial arrangements will be announced later.
Baba Aladura, Dr. Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, was born on June 26 as a prince in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State. His father, Odetundun Abegunde, was the Oba Olomu of Omu Aran, then part of Ilorin Province. His mother, Tinuade Tinuola, was the daughter of Niniola, a princess from Oponda in what is now Isin Local Government of Kwara State.
He began his education at N. A. Primary School, Omu Aran, in May 1934. The loss of his father on February 14, 1938, made Valentine’s Day particularly memorable for him. Around 1938, Senior Apostle Prophet Peter Oyinloye from Rore near Omu Aran introduced young Samuel Abidoye to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. Like other new converts, he memorized the catechism before baptism. In 1958, he was blessed with visions of our Lord Jesus Christ in his dreams and a trance.
A Harvest of Joy and Blessings!
